Recreation Department hosts Senior Luncheon

MILLBROOK — Pleasant weather and the delicious aroma of food put happy smiles on the faces of 19 seniors at the annual luncheon provided by the Town of Washington Recreation Department on Friday, Oct. 8, at the Guertin Gym at Village Hall on Merritt Avenue in Millbrook.

Falling in love with Millbrook

MILLBROOK — Fall in Love With Millbrook was sponsored by the Millbrook Arts Group (MAG) and held on Saturday, Oct. 9. The day-long event was held as a celebration of local artists and brought in droves of people, locals and visitors from afar, all whom enjoyed the autumn weather, great shopping and, excellent dining.

Bennett Park demolition begins, 32-acre park to grow

MILLBROOK — Long anticipated, the Bennett Park project is finally looking like a reality, as heavy equipment moved through the former Bennett College campus at the end of last week, demolishing the once beautiful buildings constructed in the 1890s. 

Community Read speaks to fans of Millbrook Literary Festival

MILLBROOK — Although the traditional Millbrook Literary Festival could not take place this year, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, organizers were able to creatively restructure the much-loved affair into a Community Read. The free day-long event was held on Saturday, Sept. 18, and drew a great number of participants from around the community.
