Tour de Forest

More than 80 bikers from the Northwest Corner and from as far away as New Hampshire and Rhode Island joined Norfolk’s Annual Tour de Forest on Sunday, Oct. 9, tackling either a 12.6 mile route or “The Icebox Gravel” route (28.9 miles).

South Kent prevails 3-1 in crosstown showdown

KENT — Cold and cloudy but (thankfully) dry conditions ruled the match between Kent School and the visiting South Kent School.  Wednesday, Oct. 5. South Kent won, 3-1.

South Kent’s Xahvi DeRosa scored in the early minutes, and again late in the game. A third South Kent goal was made on a penalty kick  by Enoch Joseph.

FALLS VILLAGE — There have been two things anyone can count on when attending a Housatonic Valley Regional High School (HVRHS) sporting event: the blue and gold uniforms representing the Mountaineers and Athletic Director Anne MacNeil sitting somewhere close by.

Hudson Valley Rodeo draws fan, riders and family from across the country

AMENIA — With the smell of barbecue rising through the air, people boasting belt buckles, boots and cowboy hats enjoyed music, food and the spectacle of the second annual Hudson Valley Rodeo on Saturday, Sept. 17, at Keane Farm in Amenia.
