FALLS VILLAGE — Fall sports wrapped up in late November, with the Housatonic Valley Regional High School/Gilbert School/Northwestern co-op football team making the Class M state tournament after posting a 6-2 regular season record, Athletic Director Anne MacNeil reported to the Region One Board of Education on Monday, Dec. 6.
FALLS VILLAGE — In a season with the least restrictions in the past two years, the Housatonic Valley Regional High School (HVRHS) fall sports season is coming to an end with four teams making a postseason push, multiple All-Star selections and a reformatted football team finding a new home.

The boys soccer team from Housatonic Valley Regional High School hosted its final home game of the season on Friday, Oct. 29, ending in a 4-1 loss to Terryville.

LIME ROCK — If car fans have to choose one day out of three for bad weather, most would vote to rain out the parade or concours day, to ensure that the track is dry and safe for racing on the other two days.
LIME ROCK — For some, the racetrack at Lime Rock Park is a place to watch large, fast, powerful cars muscle their way around the bends and curves in pursuit of victory.
As we head into the end of August let us scrape off the mildew and assess the state of play for this fishing season.
We had approximately 80 kajillion inches of rain in July, which rendered the rivers and streams mostly unfishable. Also unboatable, and unanythingable except observation-from-a-prudent-and-respectful-distanceable.

LIME ROCK — Auto racing tends to go at high speed and in short bursts. The International Motor Sports Association race at Lime Rock Park last weekend follows a different format, with huge cars and top American drivers duking it out during 2 hours and 40 minutes on the track.
