If You Ask Me

Preoccupied as we are with a worldwide plague and an economic collapse, we the people have so far managed to contain our enthusiasm for President Trump’s planned statuary park for American heroes.

No matter what happens in the coming months—to the pandemic, the economy or race relations — this country cannot take four more years of the division that Donald Trump’s presidency has foisted upon us.

Some of the students who spent their college years learning to oppose freedom of  speech that isn’t their own have graduated and are now promoting their heresy in other institutions, most notably the press.

Having eliminated half of the best qualified Democratic vice presidential candidates by prematurely pledging to limit his choices to women, Joe Biden finds himself in something of a dilemma.

It was a story taxpayers, especially those laid off or furloughed by the pandemic, must have found quite interesting, not to mention the loan-burdened UConn students and their parents.

oe Biden came awfully close to being remembered as the candidate who won the presidential nomination and was never heard from again until the advantages of the incumbency proved to be too much for Donald Trump to handle.  

As our days of confinement extend into weeks, I’ve been remembering when those of us of a certain age, (i.e., old,) were confined to home and bed for what seemed like an eternity as we recovered from measles, chicken pox, whooping cough and other childhood diseases.
