Wifi hotspot in Falls Village

FALLS VILLAGE — Residents of and visitors to downtown Falls Village will soon be able to take advantage of a wifi hotspot at 107 Main St.

Felicia Jones, the town’s economic development director, said the wifi hotspot should be installed this week and will cover the town Green.

Harper Blanchet has left former Falls Village town hall space

FALLS VILLAGE — Artist Harper Blanchet has left the town-owned space at 107 Main St., which is across from the present Town Hall and which had been the town hall for many years until the offices moved across the street to their present location.

Planning begins for return to school

FALLS VILLAGE — The Region One School District’s interim superintendent, Lisa Carter, has formed a Re-Opening Committee that is working on a plan to reopen the seven Region One schools.

Fresh, free food provided by USDA to Region One

FALLS VILLAGE — Despite some logistical difficulties, volunteers were able to distribute hundreds of boxes of produce (and bread) at Housatonic Valley Regional High School on Saturday morning, June 27.
