The Summer Show Of Wildflowers has begun
Last week we ran photos in Compass of some of the more common wildflowers that have been bursting to life in fields and along roads in the late-summer heat.
There are so many varieties, that we are sharing still more on this week’s pages.
Always use caution when touching an unfamiliar plant; never dig up a wildflower and bring it home to your own yard — many wildflowers are very invasive (they grow wild!).
And certainly don’t eat them; wildflowers are rarely edible.
If you feel that we have misidentified any of the flowers in these photos, send an email with corrected information to cynthiah@lakevillejournal.com.
