Online Arts Abound Now

Anyone who has email probably knows that there is a universe of online arts and entertainment out there at this time.

Most of it you will find yourself, because it relates to a venue or institution that you already know and love and you have been notified by email. If not, be creative and curious; if you love a museum, go to its website and see what’s on offer.

For a PDF that lists many upcoming live stream arts events in the region, put together by the Northwest Connecticut Arts Council, go to www.artsnwct.org/docs/default-source/membership-documents/4_20-digital-c....

The Hotchkiss School is broadcasting past classical music performances that were held in its beautiful Elfers Hall, on Saturdays at 7 p.m. Go to www.livestream.com/hotchkiss and sign up for email alerts.

Theo Coulombe, owner of Sharon’s Standard Space art gallery, is curating a “virtual” art show with submitted works by artists working in isolation. See what’s already been submitted at www.standardspace.net, search for Art in Place. Email theo@standardspace.net for information on how to submit work.

The town of Cornwall website at www.cornwallct.org now has “Cornwall Arts” to see what some of the town’s creative residents are doing during quarantine. There is also information there on the weekly online trivia game.

This is only the smallest sampling of all that’s out there.

Go forth and search online for more.
