The Summer Show of Wildflowers Has Begun
The rain stopped, briefly, and the wildflowers in fields and along roadsides busted into bloom.
The photos here will help you identify some of the more common blossoms that you’ll see in this part of the world. Always use caution when touching an unfamiliar plant; never dig up a wildflower and bring it home to your own yard — many wildflowers are very invasive (they grow wild!).
And certainly don’t eat them; wildflowers are rarely edible.
If you feel that we have misidentified any of the flowers in these photos, send an email with corrected information to cynthiah@lakevillejournal.com.
