Sharon Playhouse’s Very Own ELO Laser Experience!
Big errors are humbling but also an opportunity to learn. Such was the case last week when the Compass touted an upcoming laser show at Sharon Playhouse in Sharon, Conn., and incorrectly said that one of the Electric Light Orchestra (ELO) tribute bands would be onstage.
This was, as it turns out, not the case. This is not a presentation of a preexisting show; this is an all-new laser experience created by the Playhouse team in association with DNR Laboratories of Watertown, Conn.
Which is super cool. So, fans of the British band known as ELO are invited to Sharon Playhouse on Friday, Aug. 27, and Saturday, Aug. 28, at 8:30 p.m.
Artistic Director Alan M-L Wager said that, “Due to the success of the Pink Floyd Laser Experience last year, we’re excited to present this all-new original Laser Spectacular featuring the music of the legendary rock band Electric Light Orchestra.
“Hear your favorite hits including ‘Sweet Talkin’ Woman,’ ‘Telephone Line,’ ‘Don’t Bring Me Down,’ ‘All Over The World,’ ‘Evil Woman’ and more while viewing the astounding Laser Encounter all around you in the Drive-In Stage parking lot at the Sharon Playhouse.”
