Audrey (Rugg) Daley

NORTH CANAAN — Audrey (Rugg) Daley, 76, of Englewood, Fla., formerly of North Canaan, died peacefully on Feb. 18, 2012.Audrey was born in Great Barrington on May 31, 1935, to the late Gardner Rugg and Dorothy (Emmons) Rugg Stevens. She graduated from Bay Path Junior College in Longmeadow, Mass., in 1955. Audrey married Richard Joseph Daley Jr. in July 1958.The couple lived in North Canaan for more than 40 years before moving to Englewood.Prior to raising her family, Audrey worked for Southern New England Telephone Company. In the early 1970s, she began her 25-year career as a legal secretary in North Canaan.Audrey loved spending summers with her family on Twin Lakes in Salisbury when her children were young. She also enjoyed golfing with her family and friends at Wyantenuck Country Club in Great Barrington. She will always be remembered for her quick laugh, keen sense of fun and good humor.Audrey is survived by her husband of 53 years, Richard; her son, Michael Daley and his wife, Cynthia, and their children, Kevin and Kate of Clinton, Conn.; her daughter, Colleen Vigeant and her husband, Thomas, of Falls Village; her son, Shaun Daley Sr. and his wife, Amy, and their children, Shaun Jr., Declan and Finnegan of Shrewsbury, Mass.; her sister, Constance Booth of North Canaan; and her nieces and nephew. She was predeceased by her grandson, Harrison Daley. There will be a burial in the family’s private cemetery in North Canaan in the spring.

Magic Fluke Ukulele Shop and True Wheels Bicycle Shop are not only under the same roof in a beautiful solar powered building on Route 7 in Sheffield, but they are also both run by the Webb family, telling a tale of familial passion, innovation and a steadfast commitment to sustainability.

In the late ‘90s, Dale Webb was working in engineering and product design at a corporate job. “I took up instrument manufacturing as a fun challenge,” said Dale. After an exhibit at The National Association of Music Merchants in Anaheim, California, in 1999, The Magic Fluke company was born. “We were casting finger boards and gluing these things together in our basement in New Hartford and it just took off,” Dale explained. “It was really a wild ride, it kind of had a life of its own.”

A five-time Grammy winner, Cray has been inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame and earned The Americana Music Awards Lifetime Achievement for Performance. He has played with blues and rock icons including Albert Collins, Muddy Waters, John Lee Hooker, The Rolling Stones, Tina Turner, Eric Clapton and many more.
