Jacob’s Pillow, the Berkshires host to nationally and internationally acclaimed dance companies for 85 summers, is expanding to add year-round programming at its Becket campus, as well as an intensive community-based dance program in Pittsfield. Pamela Tatge has been the executive director for only 18 months, but she’s leading the venerated venue into some dramatic changes. A just-announced $300,000 grant from the Ford Foundation will help launch Pittsfield Moves, led by choreographer Paloma McGregor.
