A down side to the holidays: How to rise up from grief

The holiday season often brings on grief, as family members and loved ones die at a time of year that celebrates love and togetherness; or a resurgence of grief for past losses. 

The Dutchess County Department of Emergency Response hosted a training session for emergency services volunteers in the Medical Reserve Corp, and for interested community members, on Thursday, Nov. 21, at their headquarters in Poughkeepsie.  Nearly every seat was filled, with 79 people of all ages in attendance.
