P&Z denies B. Metcalf site plan

NORTH CANAAN — By unanimous vote following a lengthy executive session closed to the press and the public, the Planning and Zoning Commission (P&Z) in North Canaan voted on Monday, Sept. 9, to deny the application submitted by the B. Mecalf paving company that would have allowed for the production of asphalt at 235 East Canaan Road.

With P&Z Chairman Steve Allyn abstaining from the vote, the commission voted to deny a certificate of demand for approval that had been submitted by Metcalf’s attorney, Mark Shipman.
