Cool Down With Cusack’s Art

“Evening Painting (Umbrellas By the Pool)” by Peter Cusack at The Oliver Wolcott Library in Litchfield, Conn. Photo Submitted

Watercolors pool, puddle, curl and swell across the flat surfaces of paper in a dance responding to the summer lights and colors of Cornwall, Conn. For 50 years, the prolific Peter Cusack has been visiting the area, but it was a move here six months ago that inspired his latest body of work now showing at the Oliver Wolcott Library in Litchfield, Conn.  The angst of moving and the ecstasy of returning are captured in his dry and wet marks. His work is loose, rhythmic, and celebrates fresh color.
