Twin Island Lake needs attention, and it needs it fast


PINE PLAINS — Twin Island Lake, or Mudd Pond as it’s known to some locals, has issues. For one, the water quality is excellent, according to Twin Island Lake Association (TWILA) President Hollie Bart, but it’s marred by the aquatic overgrowth of vegetation. That problem has  been exacerbated because the water level is dropping.
