AMENIA — Along with the community’s ongoing support, the Amenia Free Library was recently endowed with a $10,000 donation to benefit its future expansion.

Having obtained approval from the Amenia Planning Board last fall, the library’s proposed project involves building a 68 foot high by 28 foot wide addition to the west side of the library building, located at 3309 Route 343. With the library’s current structure totaling 880 square feet, the proposed expansion will add 1,904 square feet to the building.
