WEST CORNWALL — As sometimes happens, a truck attempting to cross the covered bridge between Sharon and West Cornwall got stuck halfway through, on Monday, June 10. Emergency service workers came out and deflated the tires so the vehicle could be extracted.

One of the firemen noted the bridge is taller on the West Cornwall side than on the Sharon side, which has led periodically to trucks thinking they can get through when they in fact cannot. The truck was carrying a load of mattresses.
