Housing group pulls application for Falls Village rental units

FALLS VILLAGE — The Falls Village Housing Trust has withdrawn its application to build affordable housing on River Road.

The application was withdrawn last week.

The plan for 28 rental units to be built in two phases was the subject of a contentious public hearing that began April 25 and was continued on May 29 before the Planning and Zoning Commission. The hearing was scheduled to continue June 27.

Zoning Enforcement Officer Tom Scott confirmed the application was officially withdrawn.
