Sharon budget vote will be held on May 10

SHARON — Following a budget public hearing on Friday April 26, Sharon voters approved municipal and education budgets for the 2019-20 fiscal year to go to a town meeting on Friday, May 10, at 7 p.m. 

About 50 Sharon residents came to the hearing, filling the upstairs meeting room.

First Selectman Brent Colley presented the municipal budget proposal, which is a request for $4,170,155, an increase of 1.7% or $71,449.
