WINSTED — The following information was provided by the Winchester Police Department. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in court.

Disorderly

Terry J. Rose, 34, 356 Demonstranti Road, Winsted, was arrested Oct. 15 and charged with disorderly conduct in a domestic incident. A non-surety bond was set at $1,000 and he was scheduled to appear in court Oct. 17.

Threatening/disorderly

Johanna I. Veras, 35, 60 Upson Ave., Winsted, was arrested Oct. 14 and charged with threatening and disorderly conduct in a domestic dispute. A non-surety bond was set at $1,000 and she was scheduled to appear Oct. 17.

Threatening/disorderly

Jose Martinez-Castro, 33, 60 Upson Ave., first floor, Winsted, was arrested Oct. 14 and charged with threatening and disorderly conduct in a domestic dispute. A non-surety bond was set at $1,000 and he was scheduled to appear Oct. 17.

DWI

Carl J. Sprague, 50, 11 Yale Hill Road, Stockbridge, Mass., was arrested Oct. 15 and charged with driving while intoxicated.
A $500 non-surety bond was set and he is scheduled to appear in court Oct. 24.

Breach of peace

Mark R. Blanc, 60 Main St., apt. 19, Winsted, was arrested Oct. 13 and charged with breach of peace in the second degree and assault in the third degree for an incident that occurred July 6. Unable to post a $1,000 cash only bond, he was transported to Bantam Court for arraignment.

Disorderly

Eric R. Castillo, 22, 67 Wheeler St., apt. 1, Winsted, was arrested Oct. 10 and charged with disorderly conduct in a domestic incident.  A $500 non-surety bond was set and he was scheduled to appear in court Oct. 11.

Magic Fluke Ukulele Shop and True Wheels Bicycle Shop are not only under the same roof in a beautiful solar powered building on Route 7 in Sheffield, but they are also both run by the Webb family, telling a tale of familial passion, innovation and a steadfast commitment to sustainability.

In the late ‘90s, Dale Webb was working in engineering and product design at a corporate job. “I took up instrument manufacturing as a fun challenge,” said Dale. After an exhibit at The National Association of Music Merchants in Anaheim, California, in 1999, The Magic Fluke company was born. “We were casting finger boards and gluing these things together in our basement in New Hartford and it just took off,” Dale explained. “It was really a wild ride, it kind of had a life of its own.”
