BAUER FOUNDATION COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIPS

Through grants to colleges, The Bauer Foundation provides indirect scholarship assistance for undergraduate college education to students residing in Regional School District One based on merit and need.

The Bauer Fund operates in the same manner. However, grants from the Fund are limited to students attending either Cornell or Wellesley.

 Students attending Cornell or Wellesley should apply to the Fund. All others should apply to the Foundation.

New and returning application forms for the 2019-2020 school year are available at: www.bauerfundfoundation.org

Completed and fully documented applications must be returned to The Bauer Foundation at PO Box 1784 Lakeville CT 06039-postmarked no later than May 31, 2019. Scholarship awards will be announced by August 21, 2019.

LEGAL NOTICE

Pursuant to Sec. 12-145 of the Connecticut State Statutes, the taxpayers of the Town of Salisbury are hereby notified that the fourth installment on the Grand List of October 1, 2017 is due and payable on April 1, 2019. Payments must be received or postmarked by May 1, 2019. If said Real Estate and Personal Property taxes are not paid on or before May 1, 2019, interest at the rate of one and one half percent (18% per year) will be added for each month or a fraction thereof which elapses from the time when such tax becomes due and payable until the same is paid. Minimum interest charge is $2.00.

Pursuant to Section 12-173 of the Connecticut State Statutes, unpaid Real Estate tax on the Grand List of October 1, 2017 will be LIENED on JUNE 3, 2019. Payment must be received by 12:00 p.m. on June 3, 2019 to avoid a Lien.

Taxes can be paid by mail addressed to: Tax Collector, P.O. BOX 338, Salisbury CT 06068 or at the Town Hall, 27 Main Street, on Monday, Wednesday, Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Town Hall is closed daily from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. Dated at Town of Salisbury CT this 12th day of March 2019.

ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS

LEGAL NOTICE

The Zoning Board of Appeals of the Town of Salisbury will hold a Public Hearing on Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at 5:30 p.m. in the upstairs meeting room of the Town Hall, 27 Main Street, Salisbury, CT.

 1. An Application by David Haab, O’Hara’ s Landing, File Number 19-398, regarding applying for a variance relating to section 305 of the Salisbury Zoning Regulations and appealing a decision of the Zoning Enforcement Office relating to distance from stream. Property is owned by John O’ Hara, located at 254 Twin Lakes Road, Salisbury, CT 06068 and located in the RR1 zone. Property abutters are Twin Lakes Beach Club at 268 Twin Lakes Road, Salisbury, CT 06068.

The Application is on file in the Salisbury Town Hall and copies for review are available in the Selectman’s Secretary’s Office, Monday-Friday 9am-4pm (excluding 12:30pm-1:30 pm). Applicants and or their agents are required to be present at the Public Hearing. Dated March 18, 2019.
