At Xroads for now, only edible fuel

FALLS VILLAGE — Michael Hodgkins wants people to know the Crossroads Deli is open for business — just not for gasoline. On Monday, Sept. 19, crews were at work at the deli, located at the junction of routes 7 and 63, repairing a broken vapor recovery line. The line broke last Thursday, which was unfortunate timing for Hodgkins, as Lime Rock Park was hosting a NASCAR event over the weekend.Hodgkins said he had to send track customers to North Canaan for fuel, and lost a lot of business. And the gas pumps won’t be fixed until Monday, Sept. 26.“I just want people to know we’re open,” he said over the phone Monday morning, shouting over the sound of heavy machinery.
