Helping immigrants, neighbors: Compassionate action is urged

LIME ROCK — Compassionate action is the aim of an upcoming seminar, “Unshackling Dreams of America,” to be held at Trinity Lime Rock Church on Saturday, April 6, from 1 to 4 p.m.

Participants will learn what can be done to support asylum-seekers and other immigrants. The seminar was organized by the Rev. John Carter, director of a local organization, Vecinos Seguros (Safe Neighbors), now two years in existence. (This organization is not associated with an organization by the same name based in Brazil.)
