Labor Day weekend brings downhome fun to Colebrook

COLEBROOK — It was a fun time for all in town during the 68th annual Labor Day County Fair, held on Saturday, Sept. 3. The fair included various activities for adults and children of all ages. A pet fair included entries from Cailyn LaGassie and her cat, Violet; Dawn LaGassie and Chuck Jones with their dog, Zeus; and Susanne McCarthy and her sheep dog, Contessa. Lunch was served by members of the Colebrook Fire Department. Marley Matorin and Tyler Trott enjoyed snowballs and steak and cheese sandwiches. Proceeds from the fair went to the Colebrook Associates Fund. “This is a community organization that raises money and spends it to help out people in this community,” organization president Greg Millard said.
