School Board gets update from Transportation Department


PINE PLAINS — As an annual update, the Pine Plains Board of Education (BOE) heard a presentation from the Pine Plains Transportation Department at its January meeting.

Supervisor of Transportation Drew Weaver reflected on how well the department fared during the 2017-18 school year. He explained that students were transported from three in-district schools and 11 out-of-district schools last year, with 16 drivers and seven monitors responsible for the in-district students and nine drivers and four monitors in charge of the out-of-district students.
