Ski jumping, then and now, in show

SALISBURY — An exhibit detailing the development and history of ski jumping in Salisbury is at the Academy Building on Main Street through Friday, Feb. 15.

There are a lot of photos of the Satre brothers (John, Magnus and Olaf), the Norwegian immigrants who got the snowball rolling in 1926.

And there are interesting notes, such as the presence of thousands of spectators in town for the National Ski Jumping Championships in 1952.
