Pine Plains Superintendent Martin Handler’s contract extended

PINE PLAINS — The Pine Plains Central School District’s Board of Education (BOE) announced its success in securing Superintendent Martin Handler’s services for an additional year by extending his contract to cover the 2020-21 school year.

According to BOE President Chip Couse, the decision to extend the contract came from a casual conversation. While discussing Handler’s salary for the coming year, the board asked if Handler would stay for another year, and Handler agreed.
