Kathleen M. ‘Kay’ Bryant

ANCRAM — Kathleen M. “Kay” Bryant, 87, a lifelong resident, passed away on Dec. 2, 2018, at Whittier Rehab and Nursing Center in Ghent, N.Y. 

She was born on July 13, 1931, in Sharon, the daughter of Mae (Hall) and Aubrey Corbett. 

Kay along with her husband and sons Terry and Thomas were owners and operators of CY Bryant Dairy Farm in Ancram. 

On Nov. 5, 1949, in Philmont, N.Y., she married Milton L. “CY” Bryant. He predeceased her on April 23, 2008.

Survivors include her daughter, Patricia and her husband, Sheldon Waldorf, of Ancram; four sons, Gary Michael and his wife, Juanita Bryant, of Hudson, N.Y., Terry and his wife, Deborah Bryant, of Ancram, Thomas Bryant of Ancram and James and Joanna Bryant of Charleston, S.C.;   two brothers, Patrick and Peter Corbett; 10 grandchildren, Jason, Michael John, Luke, Alyson, Jon, Scott, Valerie, Renea, Steven and Joel; 12 great-grandchildren,  Kane, Nolan, Katelyn, Connor, Cole, Emma, Elizabeth, Isabella, Brody, Gavin, Carter and Charlotte;  and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a brother, James Corbett.

Calling hours are Thursday, Dec. 6, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Peck & Peck Funeral Home in Pine Plains.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, Dec. 7, at 10 a.m. from the Parish of Our Lady of Hope in Copake Falls, the Rev. George Brennan officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery in Pine Plains.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
