At what point is the river flooding?

FALLS VILLAGE — The Great Falls on the Housatonic River in Falls Village and Salisbury were already roaring last week before the rains that came down on Tuesday morning, Sept. 18, on the edges of Hurricane Florence. 

There is an official gage that measures the height of the Housatonic River in Falls Village, below the power plant. On Tuesday at 8:15 a.m., while roads were flooding from the heavy rain, the river was at 3 feet, and was actually lower than it had been on Saturday, Sept. 15, when the water was at 3.39 feet.
