FALLS VILLAGE — Jenny Schwartz from the Berkshire Co-op in Great Barrington visited the Hunt Library in Falls Village on Tuesday afternoon, Aug. 21, to teach a group of 10 children how to make johnnycakes.

Reassembled, the freshly scrubbed youngsters were briefed on the art of the johnnycake —and of making their own butter.
