Charity knitting lends helping hand to those in need

Members of the newly-formed Helping Hands Knit and Crochet group inspected some of the items they plan to donate to local residents and nonprofits. MILLERTON— It’s not often a relaxing afternoon of cheerful conversation and good company combine to lead to good deeds. But that’s exactly the case with a new knit and crochet group that meets the first and third Wednesdays of the month from 1 to 3 p.m. in the NorthEast-Millerton Library Annex at 28 Century Blvd.
