Will narrow field for November election

Connecticut holds primary elections on Tuesday, Aug. 14, for federal and statewide offices.

Democratic Party candidates for governor are Ned Lamont and Joe Ganim; for lieutenant governor, Susan Bysiewicz and Eva Zimmerman.

For attorney general, the Democratic candidates are Paul Doyle, Chris Mattei and William Tong.

The incumbent secretary of the state, Denise Merrill, and the incumbent comptroller, Kevin Lembo, are running for re-election and have no primary opponents.
