A special town meeting of the electors and citizens qualified to vote in town meetings in the Town of Salisbury, Connecticut, will be held at Salisbury Town Hall, 27 Main Street, Salisbury, CT on Wednesday, June 27, 2018, at 7:30 p.m. for the following purposes:

To see what action the Town will take with respect to the following: 

1.  Approval of the grant by the Town of an option to lease to Salisbury Housing Committee (“SHC”), granting SHC an option to lease real property known as the Holley Block, located adjacent to Holley Street and Millerton Road (Route 44) and shown as Lot 2 on Assessor’s Map 45, for $1.00 per year, for an extended lease term and on other terms and conditions to be negotiated by the Board of Selectman and SHC, for the purpose of developing and operating an affordable housing development.

2.  To do any other business proper to come before said meeting.  Dated at Salisbury, Connecticut this 5th day of June, 2018.

Notice of Informational Meeting – Anticipated Round 4 Restoration Project Funding

The Commonwealth of Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, comprising the Massachusetts SubCouncil of the Housatonic River Natural Resource Trustees (MA SubCouncil), will host a pre-Grant Application and Announcement (GAA) informational meeting onJune 26, 2018, at 5:30 pm at the Lenox Public Library (Welles Gallery), 18 Main Street, in Lenox, MA, to discuss the fourth and final round of funding (Round 4) of the Massachusetts Housatonic River Watershed Restoration Project. The MA SubCouncil plans to release a GAA for Round 4 in August 2018 in order to disburse up to $1.5 million to restore, rehabilitate, replace, and/or acquire the equivalent of injured natural resources and services of the Housatonic River Watershed in Massachusetts. 

This informational meeting is being held in advance of the GAA being released to provide an overview of the process and allow potential applicants the opportunity to discuss project ideas with the MA SubCouncil.  Procurement rules prohibit the MA SubCouncil from consulting with potential applicants to develop project ideas once the GAA is issued.  Potential applicants are strongly encouraged to attend this meeting or contact the MA SubCouncil before the GAA is issued to refine project ideas and obtain feedback.  

Additional information on the Massachusetts Housatonic River Watershed Restoration Program is available on-line at www.ma-housatonicrestoration.org and hardcopies are available at the Lenox Library and other public libraries in the Housatonic River watershed.
