The Planning and Zoning Commission of the Town of Salisbury will hold a Public Hearing on the following application on Monday, May 21, 2018 at 6:45 PM in the upstairs meeting room of the Salisbury Town Hall:

Application #SP 2018-0073 for a Special Permit to construct 10 additional housing units per Section 205.1 of the Salisbury Zoning Regulations.  This property is located at 34 Cobble Road, Salisbury CT and is in the R20 Zone District.  It is bounded on the North by N/F Cobble Road; on the East by N/F St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Congregation Cemetery; on the South by N/F Salisbury Cemetery Association and on the West by N/F Undermountain Road (Rt. 41).  This application is on file in the Planning and Zoning Office and Salisbury Town Clerk’s office and may be reviewed Monday through Friday between the hours of 9:00 AM and 3:30 PM.  At this hearing, interested persons may be heard and written communications received.

Electors and others qualified to vote at town meeting are hereby warned of a Town Meeting for the Town of Canaan, Falls Village, Connecticut to be held at Lee H. Kellogg School, 47 Main Street on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at 7:00 PM to act on the following:

1. Shall the Town of Canaan appropriate up to the sum of $1,965,668.08 for general municipal purpose for fiscal year 2018-2019?

2. Shall the Town of Canaan appropriate up to the sum of $3,062,029 for educational expenses (Lee H. Kellogg School: $1,884,670; Region One: $1,177,359) for fiscal year 2018-2019?

3. Shall the Town of Canaan adopt an ordinance for tax incentives to encourage economic  development of the town? 

4. Any other business that might properly come before the meeting.

Roberts Rules of Order will prevail as parliamentary law.  In accordance with the principles of a deliberative meeting under Roberts Rules, participation will be reserved to those present.

The Salisbury Historic Districts Commission will hold a public hearing on Tuesday June 5th, 2018 at 8:30 a.m. at Salisbury Town Hall, 27 Main Street,  Salisbury Ct. to act on the following request for approval of certificates of appropriateness. 1.
