Public hearing clears way for May 23 vote

NORTH CANAAN — It was described at the meeting as the “shortest ever” annual public hearing on the proposed town and education budgets.

The North Canaan Board of Finance held the hearing on Wednesday, May 2. It took only 16 minutes to go through the spending proposals.

Following finance board Chair Nancy O’Connor’s review of both the municipal and the education budgets, none of the 15 residents present had any questions or comments.
