April showers, Arbor Day, bring dogwoods

KENT — April showers dampened the tree-planting ceremony and brought Kent Center School’s Arbor Day celebration indoors. 

But the interdisciplinary celebration was enthusiastically shared by students, faculty, parents and friends — and the tree was probably happy to get such a thorough soaking. 

Christopher Rose greeted the crowd and reminded all of the history of Arbor Day. Officially this year was the 131st Arbor Day.
