Gilbert School has a $250,000 budget gap

WINSTED — The Gilbert School in Winsted is looking at laying off staff as a way to balance the budget, according to Superintendent Anthony Serio, who spoke  at a special meeting of Winsted’s Board of Selectmen on Monday, March 26, at Pearson Middle School.

There was also a public hearing for both the proposed Winchester School District and Gilbert School’s budgets that evening at Pearson.
