Winsted students at home with flu

WINSTED — Winsted Superintendent of Schools Melony Brady-Shanley reported at a Board of Education meeting in February that the district is seeing mass absences of both students and teachers due to the flu virus, which has been particulary bad this year.

Brady-Shanley gave the board a written report on how the flu has impacted the district but noted that in the two days since she’d written it, the numbers had become obsolete.
