Just in time for Olympics, a class in curling

NORFOLK — Just two weeks before the start of the 2018 Winter Olympics, on Feb. 8, 26 area residents got a chance to try the popular sport of curling at a workshop sponsored by the Falls Village Recreation Commission and held at the Norfolk Curling Club on Saturday, Jan. 27.

The participants came from throughout the Northwest Corner. Many had never curled before.

The idea for the workshop came from Falls Village Recreation Commission Coordinator Mike DeMazza, who has been a member of the Norfolk club for the past four years.
