Children go on an Animal Safari

MILLERTON — A full house, many of them excited children under the age of 4, put the sounds of the jungle to shame at the NorthEast-Millerton Library Friday afternoon when the Sharon Audubon Society helped critter fans young and old come face-to-face with species that would never show up in their own backyards.

The Animal Safari program exposed area children — and their adults — to experiences beyond the boundaries of Dutchess County with the hope of expanding their curiosity and therefore their desire to learn through reading.
