Wartime posters in show over there, in Norfolk

NORFOLK — The Norfolk Historical Society opened its exhibit of patriotic posters from World War I on Sunday, Jan. 7, at The Norfolk Library. The show will remain open until Jan. 25.

Some of the gems on display include “Men Wanted For The Army,” a recruiting poster from 1914 by I.B. Hazelton. Also in the show is the iconic, “I Want You for the U.S. Army” by James Montgomery Flagg from 1917, featuring Uncle Sam pointing out at the viewer.
