Winsted college, NCCC, will join statewide system

WINSTED —  At its meeting in Hartford on Thursday, Dec. 14, the state’s Board of Regents approved a plan that will consolidate the state’s 12 community colleges into one college by 2021.

In May, Mark Ojakian (who is president of the Connecticut State Colleges and Universities, CSCU)  announced that Northwestern Connecticut Community College (NCCC) President Michael Rooke would take the lead role in developing a community college consolidation strategy.
