Tallying the final votes Pine Plains town supervisor election results change


PINE PLAINS — Election results sometimes take time. This year’s race for the town supervisor position in Pine Plains is no exception. When the Dutchess County Board of Elections (BOE) announced the unofficial winner after polls closed on Nov. 7, Republican Councilman Richard Brenner held the lead, with 370 votes to Democratic candidate Darrah Cloud’s 348.

Those results have since changed, after the affidavit and absentee ballots were tallied by the BOE on Wednesday, Nov. 22. Cloud was there for the vote count.
