Historic cannonball truly a unique gift idea

SALISBURY — Dan Dwyer, proprietor of Johnnycake Books in Salisbury, has an unusual item for sale: a Salisbury cannonball.

Dwyer said the cannonball was dug out of a hillside in Lakeville around 1920 by a Salisbury resident who died in the 1980s. (There were apparently two cannonballs, but nothing is known of the whereabouts of the second.)
