A glance at the 2018 proposed county budget


DUTCHESS COUNTY — Taxpayers throughout the Hudson Valley are getting a glimpse at the $480 million 2018 budget proposal, released by Dutchess County Executive Marcus Molinaro last week.

With a focus on “improving government efficiency,” Molinaro’s plan will cut the county property tax levy for the fourth consecutive year and reduce the property tax rate for property owners for the third consecutive year.

All that, claims Molinaro’s office, while maintaining existing services and programs.
