Pine Plains school district educates parents on social media


PINE PLAINS — Given the rise of the social media’s impact, the Pine Plains Central School District will be hosting an event for parents to provide them with the proper tools and information for handling their children’s social media.

The subject of organizing an evening of educating parents and guardians was discussed at the school board meeting on Wednesday, Oct. 18. As a mother of four children in the Pine Plains school district, Karen Ettari expressed concern regarding the social media’s influence and whether families were aware of this impact.
