Regional 7 wins first league field hockey title

WINSTED — Northwestern Regional 7 clinched its first-ever Berkshire League (BL) field hockey crown with an 8-2 win over Thomaston on Friday, Oct. 20.

The victory moved Regional 7’s league record to 9-1 with two BL games remaining. Northwestern scored a huge, 5-4 opening season win over league powerhouse Nonnewaug, beat another perennial contender, Lewis Mills, and won two BL games in overtime.
