American Legion commemorates 90th anniversary

MILLERTON — At Millerton American Legion Post 178’s monthly meeting on Thursday, Sept. 28, Legionnaires marked an important moment in the post’s history: its founding, 90 years earlier, on Sept. 29, 1927. 

At 7 p.m. that day, a group of local World War I veterans gathered at the Millerton firehouse to hold the first meeting.
