Amenia’s Strid, senior golf champ

SALISBURY, Conn. — George Strid of Amenia successfully defended his title at the 10th annual Hotchkiss Senior Members Championship on Saturday, Sept. 9, at The Hotchkiss School golf course. He shot a net score of 66 to tie Pete Peterson, and then won a three-hole playoff on holes 1, 8 and 9. 

Strid was awarded the trophy by tournament coordinators David Bayersdorfer and Bill Tourjee. The trophy is given in memory of longtime Hotchkiss members Arthur Jones and Richard Wolf.
