Formation of historical district discussed at board meeting after letter from CAC chairman


PINE PLAINS— The Town Board at its meeting Thursday, Aug. 17, discussed establishment of a formal historic district. 

The suggestion was made last month by Conservation Advisory Council (CAC) Chairman John Hoffman III. Hoffman wrote to the Town Board in July that during the CAC’s recent survey, when asked to identify ways the CAC could address critical environmental concerns in town, the second most frequent response was for it to focus on historic preservation.
